2011 Off the Shelf Challenge

Posted by spragujs on January 21, 2011

Off The Shelf!

I’ve been inspired by Jessica from On a Pale Star to participate in Bookish Ardour‘s Off the Shelf Challenge.  My bookcase+ (yes, it’s case, not shelf) may have had something to do with that too…

I’m not going to get too carried away though.  There are several new books coming out this year that I fully intend to read this year, and I apparently don’t actually read that many books each year (according to my Book Challenge page, I read 28 between May 2009 and May 2010), so I wanted to set a goal I can actually achieve.  So, I can’t say that I won’t be adding books to my TBR shelf (case), but I won’t count the new ones toward this challenge.

I’m going to go for Level 2 – Trying for 15 books off the shelf this year.  Hopefully I can make it more than that!

This sounds cool. I’m sure I’ve got 15ish unread/unlistened to books floating around… but my schedule of books to read/listen to is already so long! I’ll look forward to reading about what you’re reading, though!

Glad to inspire you! It’s a challenge I desperately needed to join; my shelves are overflowing with novels I’ve bought over the years, but never read for whatever reason.

Happy Reading! I’m looking forward to what you pull off your shelf!
